This Eau de Parfum has taken months to process, from gathering bark, resins, needles and cones to infuse in ethanol -- and allowing a deep maturation of the perfume concentrate itself.
The creation of this perfume is a meditation of the slow, evolving characteristics of each note and ingredient. There are many layers and subtleties that will bloom on warm skin.
This is a predominately natural perfume, therefore you will not find excessive tenacity in its wear time. It will shapeshift and evolve, yet also maintain its glorious vanilla and balsamic pine heart.
Top notes: rare ponderosa needle and cone essential oil
Mid notes: allspice, tonka bean, dry maple sugar
Base notes: bourbon vanilla, fossilized amber extract, amber accord, ponderosa bark tincture

I LOVED the ponderosa whipped shea butter and found it to be really woodsy like I'd expect it to be but for me the eau de perfume was too "powdery"/def became too powdery on my body. Was looking for something more woody...? Maybe I'm just having trouble articulating through the appropriate smell-describing adjectives hahaha! But I received an unlabeled sample with my order which I really DO love- Not positive but I think it's "Witch"
Keep up the good work- I love your products/ethos, etc:)
I think my friend's husband Cami is the person collecting your NM sage... or maybe not
Thanks for your honest review Lauren. Skin chemistry does some interesting things. The formula is different than that of my other products in the scent of Ponderosa, this is due to the nature of some of the ingredients not being soluble in oil form and generally being much more expensive. Wood is not a prominent note in both formulas, while there are some woody aspects, the primary composition is vanilla accord, ponderosa pine resin and bark tincture and ponderosa pine needle.
I'm unsure how your got an unabled sample! But Witch was in last round of samples with orders.
As for the sagebrush, I have no connections in NM for sagebrush. The sagebrush I gather is from Northeast and Central Oregon.
Ponderosa Eau de Parfum
I already loved the Ponderosa roll-on, but this eau de parfum is magnificent. It captures the rich, spicy, distinctive scent that makes ponderosa bark smell so special and delicious in person, and surrounds it with beautifully balanced notes of pine needles and wood that never dominate, but add realism and dimensionality to the whole. (They also contribute a lovely dryness that keeps the sweeter foreground notes from being cloying.) On me, one spray or two at most is plenty for daytime, lasting in at least a gentle skin scent form for a full workday, with a restrained sillage. I'm very happy to have nabbed a full bottle!
